Where Descript's costs actually hide

A few things that catch people after they've signed up:

• AI credits are a second meter. Transcription and editing draw on media hours; AI features (Underlord, AI voices, and similar) draw on AI credits. Heavy AI users can hit the credit ceiling well before the hours ceiling.
• Top-ups cost extra. If you run out of media hours or AI credits mid-month on a paid plan, Descript sells additional blocks. Budget for them if your volume is uneven.
